Sue Wedding, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on January 7, 1940 in Daviess County, KY to the late Zeb and Lillian Smith Mayfield. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis L. Wedding on March 2, 2014; a son, Jerry Ray Wilkerson on December 10, 2015 and brothers, David Mayfield, Bobby Mayfield, Terry Mayfield and Barry Mayfield.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie O’Bryan (Danny) and Cathy Kirby (Brad); sons, Brice Wilkerson (Cathy) and Bret Oost; grandchildren, Josh Harris (Kristin), Adam Kirby (Malorie), Nathan Kirby (Olivia), Dustin Wilkerson (Tammy), Zach Ray, Mathew Ray, Jacob Wilkerson and Lauren Smith (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Austin, Anthony, Kaleb, Kyla, Madison, Chloe, Parker, Haley, Taiylor, Ava, Dean, Cameron, Kayley and Kenzley; sisters, Sharon Logsdon (Bobby), Mona Clark and Jackie Mattingly; two brothers, Harold (Pat) Mayfield and Lawes (Sharon) Mayfield; sisters-in-law, Vena Mayfield and Brenda Mayfield; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Community Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Dr. R. Thomas, Dr. R. Dedaj and Dr. G. Dunham, Owensboro Health Regional Hospital 8th floor nurses, and the CNA’s that took care of our momma.
