Obituary for Patricia Metz (Yocum) Patricia A. Metz, 76, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Bethesda Health Care Center. Patricia was born May 7, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and she was the daughter of the late Betty Lavera (Fouser) and Elmer Donald Yocum. Patricia was an avid reader that loved her books, birdwatching and sharing her life with several special companion dogs.

More than anything though, she loved her grandsons. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Michele (Metz) and Paul Brannon, and the light of her life, grandson, Jackson Brannon of Cookeville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her son Michael Metz (Oregon), grandson Tyler Metz (Oregon), brothers Jimmy Yocum (Texas),Ricky Yocum (TN), Bobby Yocum(Florida), and sister Suzanne Haas (South Carolina).

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by: Brothers, William (Bill) and Donnie Yocum. The family wishes to express special thanks to Jenene Jones and the staff at Cedar Hills Senior Living as well as the staff and caregivers at Bethesda Health Care Center, all of whom were a special, loving part of her extended family. Keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen with a private family service.

The family requests prayers to lift her up to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Memorials to honor her life may be made by donating in her name to Shelly’s Angels Saving Strays of Cookeville, Tennessee (Web site or Facebook page).
