Obituary for Patricia B. “Preasie” Porterfield Patricia B. “Preasie” Porterfield, 92 of Normalville died Sunday July 29, 2018 in the Harmon House, Mount Pleasant. She was born November 25, 1925 in Marianna, Pa. a daughter of the late Mildred Nickles Heinbaugh.

Preasie was a longtime employee at Miller’s Grocery Store in Normalville where she retired after many years of service. She was a member of the Normalville United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Jeff Porterfield, Jr. and his wife Marie of Painesville, Ohio, Ronald Porterfield and his wife Nancy of Indian Head and Gary Porterfield and his wife Sheila of Mill Run; her grandchildren, Richard Porterfield and his wife Cari, Scott Porterfield and his wife Kelli, Toni Whartenby and her husband Kevin, Mary Pat Snyder and her husband Mark, Carey Beth King and her husband Greg, Andrew Porterfield and his wife Kensie, Jason Porterfield and Jeffrey Porterfield; 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Jeff Porterfield in 1997. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. Thursday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Municipal Building Road and Route 711, Melcroft where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mark Sholtis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Normalville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Normalville United Methodist Church in memory of Patricia B. Porterfield. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Harman House for their excellent care of Preasie during her stay there and thank you to all who came to visit her there.
