Obituary for Patsy Ann Batt RICHMOND, Ind. – Patsy Ann Batt, age 83, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Rosebud Village. Born June 25, 1934, in Circleville, Ohio, to Dwight and Mary Catherine Lindsey Lanman, Patsy lived in this community most of her life.

She was a 1952 graduate of Richmond High School. Patsy formerly worked as a bookkeeper for Fox Electronics and was a clerk at Scotties Hardware. She retired from Lowe’s.

Patsy was a member of Faith Trinity United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed baking, making candy and cookies, ceramics, crafts, flowers, gardening, canning, singing, and dancing. Patsy loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and animals, especially her dog, Katie and parrot, Corky.

Survivors include her daughters, Paula (Shakil) Qureshi of Woodbridge, Virginia, Karen (Mark) Everett of Richmond, and Melissa (Jeff) Huber of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, Jon Eric Batt of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Matthew (Sara) Qureshi, Jamie (Angie) Qureshi, Sarah Qureshi, Nate (Tracey) Everett, Alex (Megan) Everett, Anthony “TJ” Johnson, Leslie (Jamar) Wright, Daniel (Janette) Huber, and Storm Batt; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Lyla, Logan, Keagan, Chloe, Artie, Kinsey, Ava, Halle, Peter, and Cooper; siblings, Paul “Slu” (Carolyn) Lanman of Centerville, Indiana, Barbara (Larry) Hoppes of Mars Hill, North Carolina, Sandra (Lew) Steinmetz of The Villages, Florida, Charles Lanman of Frankfort, Indiana, and Dwight (Alberta) Lanman Jr. of Angola, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends, including special friends, Sandy Weatherly and Pauline Chaney. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Batt, who died February 11, 2009; son, Steven Michael Batt; granddaughter, Che Prather; parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Phillip) Davis, Gloria (Roland) Longenecker, and Margaret Weatherly; and sister-in-law, Hella Lanman. Visitation for Patsy Ann Batt will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.

Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Lanman officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
