Paul’s Obituary Paul B. Galletta, 61, a resident of Willow Street in Oswego, entered into Heavenly life on Monday, battling an illness from which he had suffered for many years. Paul was born in Oswego, and was a life resident. He had formerly worked as a truck driver with the Schisa Bros Corp.

in Syracuse. Paul was famous in CNY bowling circles for the 297 game he had on the Syracuse Bowling Challenge television show, which was shown on Sunday mornings in the 1980s. He was the first local kegler inducted to gain admittance into the Professional Bowlers Association.

He is survived by a daughter, Brianne (Shawn) Hern, of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Anthony (Sarah) Galletta of Bluffton, SC; two granddaughters, Madison Hern and Piper Hern; the love of his life, Dale (Cliff) Galletta of Cicero; three brothers, Gerry Galletta, Eugene Galletta, and John Galletta, all of Oswego; three sisters, Mary Stevens of Oswego, Toni Morgia Perry of Elmira, and Tammy Galletta Dishaw of Oswego; his father-in-law, Neil P. Cliff of Oswego; two brothers-in-law, Christopher Cliff, and Neil P. Cliff, both of Oswego; two sisters-in-law, Cathy Sharkey of Sterling, and Mary Cliff of East Syracuse; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine Galletta, and Julian and Marjorie Morgia; a son, Paul Galletta, Jr.; two brothers, Ronald Galletta and Gerald Morgia; and a sister, Julie Malone. Paul was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church in Oswego.

May the Lord Jesus Christ take Paul into his kingdom this day and bestow on him eternal rewards. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2:00 Saturday, with a service to follow at 2:00, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

His family asks that Masses be requested and celebrated in his memory.
