Paula “Pablita” Smith, 83, of Adrian, MI, passed away, May 1, 2018, at Magnum Care of Adrian. She was born January 26, 1935, in Cotulla, TX, the daughter of Juan & Catalina (Moreno) Cavasos. Paula worked at Shepherd & Stoll Pharmacy as their bookkeeper and also Evart Public Schools.

She was member of the Adrian Eagles. She is survived by three sons, Steve (Ann) Burciaga, Raul (Dawn) Burciaga and Joey Burciaga (Julie), thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, two brothers, Roque (Kristy) Cavasos and Juan Cavazos , one sister, Olga Cavazos and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ron Smith, two sons, Michael Burciaga and Denny Burciaga and one brother, Abel Cavasos.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI with Pastor Jerry Lacey & Pastor Raul Burciaga officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from May 6, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. www.
