Paula Ross Bauguess, 66, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Thursday May 3, 2018. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 3:00PM Sunday May 6, 2018 at Main Street United Methodist Church, where she was a member, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jeff Patterson and Rev.

Rick Carter. Paula was born May 29, 1951 in Bristol, Virginia to the late Betty Jean Felty Ross and Paul Connell Ross who survives. Paula earned her BS Degree in Nursing and enjoyed a long career.

Her career with both Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and High Point Regional Hospital involved specializing in Reproductive Medicine. When not caring for others professionally, she most enjoyed taking care of her granddaughters. Being “Nana” was the best job she ever had.

Paula was an active member of her church, where she was involved with the choir and numerous committees. Her interests included reading, singing and camping. Following her retirement in 2016, she loved traveling with her best friend and husband, Phil.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of over 45 years, Phil Bauguess; daughters, Melissa Frick and husband Greg, and Allison Korstjens and husband Kyle; granddaughters, Emerson Frick, Kinleigh Frick, and Olivia Korstjens; father Paul Connell Ross; brother, David Ross. The family will visit with friends in the fellowship hall of Main Street United Methodist Church following the service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC, 27103.
