Obituary for Pedita “Dit” Cross Pedita “Dit” Cross, 79, of Jonesborough, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Jesse A. Cross, Sr., and Ruby White Cross. In addition to her parents, Dit was preceded in death by her sisters: Arrie Lee Arowood, and Wanda Ratliff; and her brothers: Jesse Cross, Jr, Alfred Cross, and Ralph Cross.

Dit attended Abounding Grace Church, and formerly attended Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, and also golfing and fishing in her earlier years. She mostly loved spending time with family and friends.

Dit retired after twenty two years of service from KDI (modern talking picture service) in Atlanta, GA. Those left to cherish Dit’s memory include her nieces: Tammie Suder, and Tansie Arowood; nephews: Marcus Ratliff, David Ratliff, and Billy Arowood; great-nephew, Jake Arowood, great-nieces: Lee Baldwin, Rachel Arowood, Ashton Suder, and Madison Suder; great-great-nieces: Baily Baldwin, Ella Arowood, and Nicole Arowood; and great-great-nephews: Noah Baldwin, and Carter Arowood; and her special friend, Jan Tucker. Dit’s family will honor her life at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Rev.

Billy “Ponchie” Arowood and Rev. Kevin Morris officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
