Obituary for Samuel Harold “Sam” Elliott Jr. Samuel “Sam” Harold Elliott Jr. 68, of Piney Flats Tennessee went home to be with the Lord Tuesday October 16, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City. Sam was born in Albuquerque New Mexico but spent most of his life in the Elizabethton-Piney Flats area. Sam loved his church family and was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church.

Sam loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Sam is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Elliott Fitzgerald and father Samuel Elliott Sr. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years Janet Mellons Elliott, daughter Christy Elliott PeterPaul and husband Nicholas, daughter Lori Amber Elliott, grandchildren Emily Hall, Ambria Turner, Krisalyn Elliott, Joseph PeterPaul, along with several cousins. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday October 19, 2018 at Tetrick Funeral Services 3001 Peoples St. Johnson City Tennessee, 37604 with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Estel Williams officiating.

A graveside services will be held Friday October 19, 2018 at Edgefield United Methodist Church Cemetery at 11:00am. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Sam’s memory to Edgefield United Methodist Church.
