Obituary for Walter Gene McDonald Walter G. McDonald, 77, of Jonesborough passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Pittsburgh, PA he is the son of the late Walter Dale and Freda Marie McDonald. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert McDonald.

Walter was a loving husband, wonderful dad, and PopPop. He loved The Lord, his family, his church family, and his friends. He was a member of Gray United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball, crossword puzzles, but most of all, he loved to make people laugh. Those left to cherish Walter’s memory include: wife of 33 years, Susan; daughter, Suzanne McIntosh (Rob); grandchildren, Gibson and Robert McIntosh; and siblings, Dalene Drum and Guy McDonald. A memorial service for Walter will be held in the Sunrise Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Flaugher and Pastor Lloyd Jones officiating.
