Obituary for Joyce Reynolds Jayne Joyce Reynolds Jayne, 92 of Johnson City, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at her residence. A native of Lexington, KY she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Malone Reynolds. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, C.V. Jayne, Jr. and sister, Wilma Lasslo.

Joyce was a member of North Johnson City Baptist Church where she taught Ladies’ Sunday School. She also taught Children’s Church. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University and worked briefly as a high school teacher in the field of science.

Joyce was a prayer warrior and really cared for others. She gladly volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over twenty-five years. Joyce loved to sing and was a licensed amateur radio operator.

Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory include: daughters, Nancy Jayne Holton (Jesse), Susan Jayne Hicken (Les), and Mary “Betsy” Jayne Miller (Mike Cole); grandchildren, Wilson Miller, Christy Holton, Michael Holton, Gordon Hicken, and Anna Hicken; siblings, Ray Reynolds (Helen); and several nieces and nephews. The family will gather to receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 5:00 PM until a Celebration of Life Service for Joyce beginning at 6:00 PM in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers, Maria Skipper, Jane Gannaway, and others and the staff of Ballad Health Hospice.
