Obituary for Patrica “Patty” F. Cooper Patrica (Patty) F. Cooper of Elizabethton, TN died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at home by the side of her devoted husband, Edward Earl Cooper, Susan Epley and Mark Moening, with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice of Extraovarian Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma. Patty was born in Morganton, NC to the late William Howard Franklin and Martha Sallie McGalliard Franklin on October 18, 1946. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Larry Randolph Franklin; her sister, Janet Gail Franklin; and her great granddaughter, Avery Grace Story, as well as all her beloved aunts, uncles and many cousins.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Earl Cooper, of the home in Elizabethton, TN; her mother, Martha M. Franklin, of Glen Alpine, NC; her sons, Stoney Dale Story of Glen Alpine, NC and Judd Howard Story, of Morganton, NC. She is also survived by two grandsons, a granddaughter and a great granddaughter, all of Burke County, NC. She is additionally survived by Janet and Douglas Green of Greenville, TN, Cassy and Zack Weeks of Carrollton, TX and by Susan Epley, Lila Moses and Helen Roper, of Morganton, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday. Patrica will be laid to rest in a grave to be shared with her husband, following the service on Friday, at Mountain Home National Department of Veterans Affairs Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee.

Patty wishes to thank her caregivers for their loving care and asks that memorials to her be: To love thy Lord God above all others and to love your neighbor as yourself. To never litter.
