Obituary for Pete Sparks Pete Sparks, 56, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Pete was born on January 31, 1962 in Daviess County to the late Johnny Sparks and Zelma Fitzgerald Sparks. Pete was of the Baptist faith and worked at Don Moore Automotive as a mechanic and at TTMA as a maintenance supervisor.

Along with his parents, Pete was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Alderson, and his brother, Johnny Allen Sparks. Pete is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lisa Sparks, 2 sons: Nicholas (Amber) Sparks; and Justin Sparks, both of Owensboro; and three grandchildren: Alexa Jones; Hunter Sparks; and Presley Sparks. Pete is also survived by his sisters, Brenda Payne of Maceo, Kentucky and Francis (Danny) Aull of Owensboro, Kentucly.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018, and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
