Funeral services celebrating the life of Peter James Condon will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Pete passed away Friday, April 27, at St. Elizabeth main campus with his loved ones by his side. He was born October 10, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of James Peter Sr. and Anna Marie (Miller) Condon.

He attended Youngstown State University and retired from Dominion East Ohio Gas in 2009 where he worked in the construction and maintenance department. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, as well as a father figure and friend to everyone who knew him. Pete was a former member of St. Patrick’s Church in Hubbard and more recently had attended St. Rose Church in Girard.

He was an active troop member with the Boy Scouts of America – Troop #40 out of St. Rose. Pete was also involved with the Mahoning Valley Archaeological Society, as well as an avid reader. Most of all Peter was involved with all of his children’s activities and always put family and friends first.

He was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Along with his mother Annie, Peter leaves his wife the former Billijo Clarke, whom he married August 20, 1994, three children, Maggie Fowler of Wadsworth, and twin sons, Quinn and Kyle Condon both of Girard, two brothers, Cloud (Rhonda) Condon of WI, and James (Crystal) Condon of Baltimore, OH, and one sister Merry Christine (Bob) Whelan of MD. Besides his father, Pete was preceded in death by a son-in-law James Fowler, three brothers, Blaise, Damien, and Paul Condon, and one sister, Cateri Simon.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where services will be held at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Mahoning Valley Archaeological Society in Pete’s name. Family and friends may view this obituary and send condolences at www.
