Obituary for Peter T. Kenourgios Peter T Kenourgios, 98, passed away on May 15th 2018, in West Valley City UT. He was born to the late Athanasio Kenourgios and Patagiou Patricia in Agia Marina Fthiodos, Greece on April 26th 1920. He married the love of his life Leonore Thompson in San Francisco CA on December, 28th 1957.

He honorably and nobly served as a Sergeant for the United States Army in World War ll, the Vietnam War and the Korean War. He was awarded several Purple hearts, a National Defense Service Medal and an Army Occupational Medal (Germany) among various other medals throughout his military career. He enjoyed telling stories of the many countries he traveled which included, Germany, Italy, France and Africa.

Survived by: Sons Daniel Kenourgios, John (Juanine) Kenourgios, Pete (Malissa) Kenourgios, Anthony (Wendy) Kenourgios, daughter Gaby (Domingo) Luna. Nephew John Giannis Karahalios, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by: Father Athanasio Kenourgios, mother Patagiou Patricia, son Tom Kenourgios, Grandson Demetrios Alexander Kenourgios and Wife Leonore Kenourgios.

A viewing will be held at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 5335 Highland Dr, Holladay, UT at 9:00am followed by Funeral services starting at 11:00am. Graveside Military Honors will be held at Camp Williams Cemetery, 17111 S 1700 W, Bluffdale, UT at 12:30pm. Special thanks to nurses Debie, Josie, Maria and everyone at Brighton Home Health and Hospice for their kind and caring attention.

Their assistance to ensure he was comfortable during his final moments will forever be appreciated. Don’t think of him as gone his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets- this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
