Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend, Suan Wells Westover of Sandy, Utah, passed away of cancer on May 13, 2018. Suan was born to Roger and Lucille (Rakes) Wells on August 6, 1962, the third of four children. She grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, where she graduated from Bryan Station Senior High in 1980, and Lexington Community College in 1984, with an associate degree in business.

She moved to Utah in 1984 where she met Michael Westover. They were married on September 4, 1987, and are the parents of three children. She worked as office manager at ASAP Automotive for over 33 years.

She was dependable and determined. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, and scrapbooking. Her favorite color was purple and she loved Kentucky Hot Browns and blackberry cobbler.

Suan is best known for her generous heart. Many friends and family members have wonderful memories of Suan stepping up and helping them in their time of need. Whether it was taking care packages to new mothers, remembering birthdays and other occasions, or sending cards and gifts for no reason at all, she had a talent for knowing when someone needed cheering up.

Suan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Neeley and Lillian (Shrout) Rakes and Gudgell and Grace (Hatton) Wells. She is survived by her husband, Michael Westover, daughter, Ryane, and sons, Michael and Thomas. She is also survived by her parents, Roger and Lucille (Rakes) Wells of Lexington, KY; brother, Dennis (Terri) Wells of Lexington, KY; and sisters, Karlene (Jim) Browning of Pleasant Grove, UT and Elaine (Larry) Standiford of Richmond, KY.

She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will remember her as an example of kindness and generosity. Family and friends are welcome to attend a closed casket visitation on Saturday, May 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Sandy, Utah; funeral services will be held immediately after at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Sandy City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you donate in her honor to the National Association for Down Syndrome, Special Olympics, or your local down syndrome organization.
