Phillip, Sr. is survived by his children, Phillip Piper, Jr., Pharron Piper, Pharicia Piper and Phelicia Piper, all of Rapid City, SD, and Iron Joseph Piper of Red Wing, MN; siblings, Lena (Will) Peters and Michael Piper, both of Pine Ridge, SD, Marlene Piper of Rapid City, SD, Belva Thunder Hawk and Priscilla (Richard) Hill, both of Pine Ridge, SD and Jennifer He Crow of Oglala, SD; uncle, Scotty Brown Eyes of Slimbuttes, SD; extended family members, all of Ethete, WY; numerous nieces and nephews; and 12 grandchildren.
Phillip, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius Piper, Sr. and Louella Brown Eyes; wife, Charlene (Iron Hawk) Piper; siblings, Robert Thunder Hawk, Chamblis He Crow and Sherilyn Brown Eyes; grandparents, Iron Piper, Beatrice Piper, Phillip Brown Eyes and Lucy (Brings) Brown Eyes; uncle, Joe Brown Eyes; and nieces, Kayla Lou Matthews, Kerry Lynn Peters and Victoria Piper.
