Obituary for Phyllis A. Anderson Phyllis A. Anderson, 70, of Fluvanna Road, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at her residence. She was born on May 20, 1947 in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Duane and Bette Davis Butts. Phyllis graduated from Chautauqua Central School in 1965.

She had waitressed and owned Gordy’s Restaurant. Phyllis had also worked at the Town Club, Jamestown, N.Y., Truck-Lite Company, Falconer, N.Y. and Cummins Engine, Lakewood, N.Y. where she had retired from. She enjoyed golfing and playing Pinnacle at the War Veterans Recreation.

Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook. She is survived by her son: Randee (Melissa) Anderson of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters: Jean (David) Anderson of Celoron, N.Y. and Janet (Lyle) Walker of Ashville, N.Y., two brothers: Rev.

Richard (Debbie) Butts of Houston, TX and Bob (Beverly) Butts of Ashville, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Jessica Dahlbeck, Chelsie Dahlbeck and D.J. Dahlbeck all of Florida, Ian Kobayashi, Kirsten Anderson and Iyla Anderson all of Virginia; two great grandchildren: Shanley and Ryder. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy P. Anderson, her daughter, Teri Lynn Dahlbeck Anderson and her sister, Ruthie Barr. Phyllis’s wishes were no visitation or services.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date by her family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fluvanna Fire Department, 3536 Fluvanna Avenue Ext. Jamestown, NY 14701.
