Pierre LaClead Baker March 24, 1952 ~ March 8, 2019 Pierre LaClead Baker, 66, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 24, 1952, the son of Louis Gallegos and Loy Olson Baker. He was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1970.

He enlisted in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He served honorably until he was medically discharged. Pierre married Kristine Barrett in 1977 and they divorced in 1985.

Almost nine months ago he married Paola Fedele in North Ogden on September 21, 2018. He worked for the Forest Service and in residential construction. He was a surveyor and loved the outdoors.

Pierre was a passionate hunter, a voracious reader, and an avid classic rock fan. He was a loyal person, dedicated and honest, a man of his word. In bad or good circumstances he was very sincere.

Pierre is survived by his wife, Paola Fedele Baker of Pleasant View; son, Forrest L. (Valerya) Baker of Tijeras, NM; daughter, Shiloh Baker of Boise, ID; four grandchildren, Audrey, Harrison, Vivienne, and Miranda; sister, Cathy (Darrin) Kendall of Ogden; and by his very dear friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Baker in 1992 and his parents. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the mortuary.
