Polly Carolyn (Allen) Mears, 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. Polly was born in McLean County, Kentucky on December 15, 1933 to the late Lonnie and Dalcye (Underwood) Sparks. She retired from Whirlpool after many years of service in communications.

Polly is survived by her sons, Tracey Mears of Evansville, IN and Carey Mears of Selvin, IN; grandchildren, Callie Rose Mears, Stephanie Mears, Benjamin Mears, Lindsey… Read More » Mears; great grandchildren, Aiden Nichols, Breanna Compton, LaRissa White, Emily Reisinger, Nolan Wayne Mears, Kendra White, Daelin Mears, Wayne Crowe, Jr., Alaijha Baltzell; great-great grandchildren, Bre-Aylin Cabell, Davaya Compton; a niece, Polly Thornhill; and a nephew, Max Luttrell. Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Mears; a granddaughter, Heather Mears; her parents; and a sister, Cherie Allen. There will be no services at Browning Funeral Home.
