Cosmutto August 15, 1938 – March 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Rhome Douglas Cosmutto, 80, of Seneca, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Joliet Area Hospice Home. Funeral services will be private with Rev Kris Zierke of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Nichol Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements. Rhome was born on August 15, 1938, in Diamond, IL to Nicholas and Pearl (Emmanuelson) Cosmutto.

In 1959, he married Carol Eiben of Marseilles, who preceded him in death on March 20, 2019. He served as a Military Police Officer in the US Army from 1956-1959 and was stationed in Germany. He was employed by Caterpillar, DuPont, and Field Container until his retirement.

Rhome is survived by his children, Greg (Marge) Cosmutto of Winneconne, WI and Linda (Joe) Hacker of Seneca; six grandchildren, Shane, Tyler, and Theresa Cosmutto and Grant, Paige, and Faith Hacker; and two brothers, Mike Cosmutto of Marseilles and Tom Cosmutto of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, Nick Cosmutto; and one sister, Donna Pereth. Memorials may be directed to the family.
