Rachel Lindberg, 79, of Moline, IL, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to MGT New Hope Church. All need to use 70th Street for access to the funeral home due to the road construction.

Rachel was born on February 4, 1939, in Rock Island, the daughter of Chester and Louella (Teuscher) Fryxell. She married Warren Lindberg on August 27, 1958, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in December of 2017.

Rachel loved children; she taught Sunday school and provided child care to numerous families over the years. She had previously worked at the Roy E. Roth Pump Company and at Modern Woodman. She was a member of MGT New Hope Church.

Survivors include a son Jeff (Dawn); a daughter Michelle; five grandchildren, Luke, Mark, Mitch, Michael and Matthew; a sister, Lois Marsoun. She was preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters; a brother, Keith; and a sister, Lorna. Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
