Raymond Venon Terry, 63 of Pelion was met Monday June 25,2018 by his loving parents James and Carol Terry along with his two sisters Virginia Eaglestone, Diane Cobb, Grandparents and Aunts as he entered the pearly gates of Heaven to meet his savior. Raymond was a loving devoted husband to his wife of 44 years; Sherrie Terry. Raymond was a hard working father providing for his children; Tonia Rivenbark (Johnny), James Brown (Jeffrey) and his niece, like his own daughter Amber Wingard (Brandon).

He was proud Papa to his grandchildren, The apples of his eyes; Destiny Rivenbark,Sarina Rivenbark, John Rivenbark III, Drew Richburg and great grandaughter Meilani Richburg. Raymond is survived by his only brother, Malcolm Terry (Sandy) sisters, Doris Clark (Chris), Starla Terry, Shanna Terry, aunts Jakie Whitten and Lou Duska and uncle JT Heath, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Raymond, Ray to most wore many hats and played many roles in the lives of so many.

He was so many things, nephew, uncle, cousin, but most of all the titles he carried proudly loving more than anything was that of husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. His heart so loving,a compassionate man holding his family near and dear to his heart. Ray was a member of The Fellowship of The Living Word, of Lexington and loved serving and worshiping with his church family.

Ray was an avid fisherman, loved hunting and being outdoors and sharing this hobby with his loved ones made it even better. He was a devoted employee of CE Taylor & Sons for 16 years and enjoyed helping others and extending his family with co-workers. To know him, was to love him.

A memorial celebrating his life, giving all a chance to share a loving memory if they wish will be held Sunday July 8, 2018 at 6:00 pm at The Independent Fellowship of The Living Word at 3595 Hwy 6, Lexington South Carolina 29073. Ray from humble beginnings, was a hard working humble man always willing to give anything and everything to someone in need even if it meant that he would do without. To bring honor to him, we ask that in lieu of flowers upon the request of his family, that any monetary and or non-perishable food donations be made to food pantry of The Independent Fellowship of The Living Word in his honor.

The family would like to thank MSA Hospice, and friends for their support for our family through his eternal healing and heavenly transition.
