Obituary for Regina “Joan” Wyman (Caplinger) Regina “Joan” Wyman, 85, of Murphysboro, passed away at 6:55 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at her residence in Murphysboro. Joan was born on March 17, 1933, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Snead Caplinger and Ivan Mae (Robinson) Caplinger Reiman. She had worked as a secretary in an insurance office.

She enjoyed reading and scrapbooking. She also loved music. Mrs. Wyman was a member of the First Christian Church in Murphysboro.

Joan married Samuel Bunty Wyman in 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by one son and daughter in law William “Bill” and Mary Wyman of Poulsbo, WA; a grand cat Maggie; and two sisters Jean McMannis and Ginger Jewell, both of Murphysboro. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her body will be cremated and private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. For more information, please visit www. pettettfuneralhome.
