Obituary for Phillip Sauer Phillip Henry Sauer, 58, of Wolf Lake, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at his residence in Wolf Lake, Illinois. Phillip was born on June 22, 1960, in Murphysboro, to Robert and Patsy (Moureau) Sauer. He had worked as an officer at several locations including Menard at Chester and the Boy’s Camp at Harrisburg.

Phillip riding motorcycles and shooting pool. Besides his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend Donn Cavness of Wolf Lake and her family especially Cassie, his special friend; one brother Jim Sauer and one sister Kathy McLaughlin, both of Murphysboro; one niece Courtney McLaughlin and one nephew Christopher (Traci) McLaughlin, all of Murphysboro; and many other relatives. His body will be cremated.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home with Brother Jack Thornton officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
