Obituary for Billy Leonard Billy G. Leonard, 82, formerly of Murphysboro and he more recently resided in the Cobden Nursing Home, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Union County Hospital, Anna, Illinois. Billy was born October 10, 1935, in Carbondale. He was raised by his mother Connie (Davis) Woods and his step father James Everett “Woodsie” Woods.

He was a Kitchen Laborer at Grinnell Hall at SIU-Carbondale. Mr. Leonard served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his daughter Reba Krumreich and granddaughter Donna (Troy) Suggs, all of Cumberland Furnace, TN.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step father. His body has been cremated and there will be no services.
