Rev. Larry E Wolfe, 74, of Greenville, SC, was called home to be with the Lord in the early hours of Feb. 10, 2019, at his home.

He was the husband of Elizabeth E. Zeigler Wolfe. On August 28th, they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Larry was born on Dec.

31, 1944 in Brownwood, TX, where his father was in the Army, but he grew up in Lebanon Co., PA. He was the son of the late Warren A. Wolfe and Irene V. Anspach Wolfe. He worked in the field of engineering as a successful Machine Designer for AMP Inc., DuPont, and as an independent designer for various other companies.

Larry’s life was gloriously changed when he received Jesus Christ in 1980 from that of a drug-abusing alcoholic to a born-again Christian. The Lord called him into the ministry, and he went to Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. There he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1986 with a B.A. in Bible with a minor in Greek.

Larry served the Lord faithfully for the rest of his life in many areas of ministry, especially in evangelism. He was a bold witness for Christ and told everyone that he could about the wonderful gift of Salvation and God’s great love for them. He served as a pastor for a short time.

He then held tent meetings for several years before entering evangelism until he retired. Larry moved back to SC to be near his children. There the Lord opened the door to minister as a chaplain to the constant flow of truckers, locals and strangers who he encountered at a nearby truck stop.

He was a fearless and bold witness for the Lord everywhere he went. Although in failing health, Larry never failed to go to the truck stop daily to serve His Lord until the day he was called home to be with Him. Larry and his wife were the parents of three children: Wendy L. (Greg) Jansen of Taylors, SC, Nathan E. (Heather) Wolfe of Travelers Rest, SC, and Andrea L. (Billy) Davis of Rapid City, SD.

He was blessed with eight grandchildren: Joshua, Leah and Isaac Jansen, Katherine, Jacob and Ella Wolfe, and Abigail and Holly Davis. They all brought great joy to his life. He is also survived by five brothers: Warren F. (Thelma), twin brothers Brian A. (Joanne) and Bruce A. (Pam), Fred J. (Rose), and Steven S.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019, at the N. Annville Bible Church, 4590 Hill Church Rd. , Annville, PA. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. A brief song service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Chapel, which was founded by his ancestors, in Green Point.

Interment will immediately follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown, is honored to serve the family. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Rev.
