Rev W C Wallace Jr, March 19, 2004 — March 26, 2019

Rev. W. C. Wallace, Jr., 93, of Lancaster died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at MUSC Health, Lancaster Medical Center. He was born January 10, 1926 in Opelika, Alabama, a son of the late William C. Wallace, Sr. and Daisy Starnes Wallace and the widower of his beloved wife, Mary Neal Wallace who died March 19, 2004.

He was a retired Baptist Pastor/Minister and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church of Lancaster. Rev. Wallace had retired from Temple Baptist Church and had served as interim pastor and supply pastor in Lancaster, Chester, Chesterfield, and Kershaw Counties in South Carolina and Union County, North Carolina, as well as serving as Hospital Chaplain.

Rev. Wallace served in the US Army and was a combat veteran of World War II, serving in Europe as well as the Philippines with the 86th Blackhawk Infantry Division A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Wallace will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church with the Rev.

Casey Swails, Rev. Gene Ghent and Scottie Ranta officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.

Rev. Wallace is survived by three daughters, Carol Ghent and her husband Gene, Betty Smith and her husband Winston, and Mary Ann Ranta and her husband Scottie all of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Mica Jones and her husband Rob, Daniel Ghent, Derek Smith and his wife Bethany, Kristen Bowers and her husband Mark, Joshua Byrdic and his wife Amanda and Rachel Jordan and her husband Timmy; and five great grandchildren, Sebastian Jones, Brandon Ghent, Kaleigh Jordan, Lily Byrdic and Piper Jones. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
