Reverend Dallas J. Sanford 83 of Ravenna went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. He was an Evangelistic Minister for 30 years. Dallas was born March 31, 1935 in Rainelle, WV to Tony and Leona (Sims) Sanford.

He was a member of the Mantua Country Baptist Church and served the Blackhorse Baptist Church and other area churches for many years. Dallas coached youth football and baseball and played church basketball and softball for many years. He enjoyed bowling and being active in the church.

He was the plant manager and worked for Distallata for 52 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years Bonnie (Zickafoose), children Jim (Laura) Sanford of Mayfield Villiage, Candy Siglow of Ravenna, Cindy (Kevin) Gary of Ravenna and Tami (Don) Kierstead of Ravenna, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and siblings Linda Sanford of Sandyville, WV and Rush (Sandy) Merritt of Ravenna. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Rev.

Melvin Sanford, Rev. Earl Sanford, Retha Boothe and Bertha Perdue. Calling hours will be from 1 PM until time of services at 4 PM Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.

Rev. Murray Bay will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave.
