Ricardo was born on January 25, 1972 in Mexico and was a resident of Alvin for 27 years. He worked for many years as a foreman in a machine shop and was a very active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Ricardo is survived by his wife, Maria Alaniz, parents, Fidel and Maria Alaniz, daughters, Jessica Alaniz, Marily Alaniz, sons, Ricardo Alaniz, Jr. Jesus Alaniz, sisters, Cristina Macias and husband Servando, Griselda Hernandez and husband Saul, Erika Arenas and husband Reynaldo, brothers, Aurelio Alaniz and wife Lourdes, Manuel Alaniz and wife Maribel, Fidel Alaniz, Jr. and wife Diana, Marcos Alaniz and wife Lizett, Sergio Alaniz and wife Andrea, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 10, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic church. Interment will follow in the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
