Billie Jean McNeel, age 88, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 28, 2019 in Magnolia, Texas. She was born on March 2, 1931 in Navarro County to Sammie Ellis and Ethel Irene Fultz. Billie married her husband of 63 years, Artice B. McNeel raising their family in Pasadena, Texas and returned to Corsicana in 1986 following his retirement.

Both were faithful members in First Baptist Church of Corsicana active in the Solid Rockers Choir and the Sixty Plus game night which helped them get to know and have fellowship with the church family. She is survived by her two sons, Michael McNeel and wife Linda of Magnolia and Ronald McNeel and wife Barbara of Pasadena; three grandchildren, Jennifer Martin and husband Garry of Virginia Beach, Trisha Averkiades and husband Joe of Spring, and Jared McNeel and wife Lindsey of League City; four great grandchildren, Madeline and Allison Averkiades of Spring, Lauren and Anna Claire Martin of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Wanda Neeley of Rockwall and Earlene Slaughter of Corsicana. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Artice, parents Sammie and Ethel Fultz; three sisters Jesslyn McDaniel of Richland, Martha McDonald of Richland, and Evelyn Adams of Orange; grandchild Erin Thomas McNeel of Bogue Chitto, MS, and great grandchild, Skylar Mae McNeel of League City.

Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
