Thomas was born on October 11, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland and was a resident of Alvin for over 25 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.

and would later retire from the United States Navy after 25 years of service. Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Norris, and parents, Lawrence and Myrtle Collins. Thomas is survived by his wife, Tess Collins, daughters, Robin Brown and husband Ronnie, Artela Blair and husband Joe, Christine Collins, sons, Jacob Collins and wife Tiffany, Robert Collins, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin. Funeral services will be held there at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2019. Arrangements under the direction of the Scott Family, 1421 East Hwy 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.
