Richard A. Johnson, 90, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2018. He will be dearly missed by his wife Cameron C. (Catlin) Johnson. Born in Illinois, he was the son of the late Albert H. and Laura A. (Hansen) Johnson.

Richard worked most of his life for Interpace as an Engineering Salesman. He also worked for the state of New Jersey as a Civil Engineer. Richard attended the Illinois Institute of Technology to do his undergraduate schooling and then attended graduate school at the University of Chicago.

When Richard moved to Lancaster, he became an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Grandview. Richard is survived by his two children, Sarah Bomberger of Lancaster and Kate Walters wife of William Walters of Bethlehem. He is survived by his stepchildren, Wolf Boehme husband of Paige Boehme, of Reading, CT and Mark Macklin Boehme husband of Donna Boehme of Summit, NJ.

Richard was a loving grandfather to his 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Violet L Fredburg Johnson, an infant son Andrew Johnson, his brothers Kenneth and Howard Johnson, and a sister Evelyn Harvey. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Richard’s honor to St. Matthew Lutheran Church 700 Pleasure Road Lancaster, PA 17601 or Hospice and Community Care 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
