Richard “Dick” Earl Dishaw died June 29th, 2018 at home in Santa Maria with his wife by his side after battling cancer. He was born February 2nd, 1943 in Ontonagon, Michigan. He was stationed at Vandenberg Airforce Base from 1960 to 1963 after which he stayed in Santa Maria.

He loved working with youth. He was a Boy Scout leader, a youth football coach and an administrator for Little League baseball. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Penni Dishaw, son Rick (Shelly) Dishaw, stepson Ron Williams, grandsons Nicolas Dishaw, and Gavin Williams; a brother, sister, brother-in-law, and sister in law, along with numerous nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces. He was so happy to celebrate his 75th birthday with his family.

He will truly be missed for his smile, his laugh, his caring personality, and his enduring strength. We want to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Hospice, and Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary for taking such good care of him.
