Richard H. Schleicher, 82, formerly of Slatington, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of the late Melinda G. (Thomas) Schleicher. Born in Friedens, he was the son of the late Harold S. and Esther M. (Peters) Schleicher.

Richard was the owner/operator of Production Management Inc. Prior to that, he was employed as an industrial engineer for the former Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of the Slatington Masonic Lodge # 440 F & AM, a member of the Slatington Civil Service Committee, the Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, and a life member of the Emerald Fire Co. Richard was an avid hunter, and also enjoyed motorcycle rides, and jet skiing. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Richard is survived by daughters: Denise and husband Scott Stein of Orefield, Dawn and husband Lee Oswald of Northampton; Grandchildren: Jess & Tyler; 6 Great-Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington PA. A calling hour will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will follow at Slatedale Cemetery.
