Struthers- Richard P. Pesa, 94, died Saturday morning, September 29, 2018 at Caprice Health Care Center. Richard was born November 10, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of John and Pauline Pesa. He was a graduate of East High School and worked as a carpenter for the majority of his career.

Mr. Pesa was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and the Carpenter’s Union. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the casino and doing art work, especially painting and drawing. Mr. Pesa was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Army during World War II.

His wife, the former Helen Martino, whom he married July 19, 1947, preceded him in death on January 19, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Glasser of Apollo Beach, FL; son, Rick (Drema) Pesa of Apollo Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Tony (Erin) Pesa of Charlottesville, VA and Deanna Pesa of Youngstown; and a great-granddaughter, Molly Pesa. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Joseph Pesa; and three sisters, Helen Demain, Phyllis Barbato, and Sunny Tarasuck.

A private graveside service was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman. Please visit www.
