Obituary of Richard Kingsbury Bangor & Winterport—Richard Erlon Kingsbury, 81, passed away April 28, 2018, at a Brewer healthcare facility surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 9, 1936, the son of Lewis and Marion (Thompson) Kingsbury. Richard lived in Winterport and at the Bangor House before moving to the Woodlands two years ago.

He worked for Clements Paving and Wellman Paving. He was known for his humor and practical joking. He was a friend of Bill W. since 1997.

He enjoyed watching The Rifleman and Andy Griffith, but most enjoyed time with family. His favorite times were spent taking rides to Millie’s Store in Frankfort. He was predeceased by his parents; son Dennis; six siblings; best friend Sonny Bascom.

Richard is survived by children Denise Brooker and husband Mark, April Andrews and husband John, Candace Kingsbury and partner Mike Baker, Casey Kingsbury, Tammie Snow and husband Randy; daughter-in-law Maria Kingsbury; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather 6-8 PM Thursday, May 3, 2018, at New Beginnings Church, 1606 Hammond St., Bangor. In honor of Richard, flannel attire is recommended.
