Richard S. Hull, I, 75, of Moundsville, WV died February 7, 2019, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born August 10, 1943, in Parkersburg, the son of Emogene Boso Hull Kelley of Parkersburg and the late Robert Hull. Also preceded in death by C.D. Kelley who acted as a father and mentor to Richard throughout his life.

Richard grew up in Vienna but attended grade school at Linsly Military Academy in Wheeling, WV. Following grade school, he transferred to and graduated from Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Va. then joined the 1092 Combat Engineer Battalion.

After his service he began a long career in industrial supply sales and service. He was an avid fan of all motor sports, especially Formula One and NASCAR and a diehard Marshall University fan as well. Richard loved storytelling and spending time with family and friends.

Throughout his life Richard worked with The Arc, an organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Richard is survived by his wife, Melinda Hull; two sons, Bill Hull (Lindsey) of Parkersburg, WV; Rick Hull (Christen) of Martinsburg, WV; one daughter, Jonna Lynn Kuskey (Joe) of Moundsville, WV. Richard had five grandchildren, Haley Hull of Parkersburg, WV, Trey and Blake Hull of Martinsburg, WV, and Christopher and Alec Kuskey of Moundsville, WV.

Richard is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 12, at 1 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg with Reverend Bob Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.

Olivet Cemetery Visitation will be Monday, February 11, from 5-7 pm and Tuesday from noon to 1 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, 403 Seventh St., Parkersburg, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Arc West Virginia, 912 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101. www.
