Obituary for Rickey Torson Dighton- Rickey Lee Torson, 71, died on Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1946 at Garden City the son of Vernon & Mary Alice (Teeters) Torson. He married Sue L. Barnett on June 9, 1968.

Rickey graduated from Dighton High School with the Class of 1965. He went to work for Dighton Co-op and then worked on a farm before returning to the Co-op where he served for 30 years retiring as the Manager of the Alamota Branch. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Dighton and was a volunteer fireman for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 6 Brothers and Sisters- Vern Torson, Jr., Mary Jane Travis, Billie Jo Torson, Dixie McLendon, Marty Torson and Tony Torson. He is survived by his Wife- Sue Torson of the Home, 3 Children- Rickey & Tiffany Torson, Jr. of Safety Harbor, Florida, Kim & Virgil George of Stratton, Colorado and Nicole Torson of Dighton, Brother- Victor & Chris Torson of Crookston, Nebraska, 2 Sisters- Beverly & Lester Bockelman and Melva & Steve Barnett both of Dighton, 8 Grandchildren- Lindsey Torson, Quaid George, Ty Torson, Cora Tasset, Nicholas Torson, Chaten Tasset, Olivia Torson & Jayger George and Great-Grandson Damien Audit.

Funeral Service will be at 5:00 PM Tuesday at First Christian Church in Dighton with Rev Aerii Smith officiating. The family invites everybody to a reception at the family home immediately after the service. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or J.O.Y. Center in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
