Obituary for Cirilo Castaneda Cirilo Raul Castaneda, 91, died Saturday July 21, 2018 at St Catherine Hospital. He was born February 27, 1927 in Michoacán, Mexico to Guadalupe Castaneda & Josefina Montelongo. He married Carmen Vazquez Ramirez in 1950 in Michoacán, Mexico.

She died August 11, 2017. Mr. Castaneda and his family moved Garden City in 1975. He had worked for Monfort in the maintenance department.

Even at the age of 91 he enjoyed walks throughout the neighborhood. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ramiro Castaneda.

Survivors include his children, Ramiro Castaneda and Maria Castillo both of Garden City; two sisters-Maria Castaneda and Irma Castaneda, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren Visitation will be Thursday July 26, 2108 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. A Rosary will be held 7:00 pm Thursday 26, 2018, and The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Friday July 27, 2018 both St Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery.
