Obituary for Rickie David Owens Rickie David Owens, 62, of Shirley, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born March 15, 1956 in Rushville, a son of Forrest Owens of Grayson, KY and the late Mary Irene (Gulley) Owens. Rickie was currently employed at Emerson Climate Controls since 2002.

He loved spending time with his family, was a very helping and generous person and would give you the shirt off of his back. He also had a passion for old cars. In addition to his father, Rickie is survived by four sons, Matthew Owens of Fishers, Travis Owens of Shirley, Jeremy (Whitney) Owens of Indianapolis, and Nicholas Owens of Shirley; grandchildren, Lillian and Mara Owens of Indianapolis; siblings, Allen (Teresa) Owens of New Castle, Beverly S. Owens of Grayson, KY, Terry (Beverly A.) Owens of Noblesville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darryel Owens. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday October 12, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
