Ricky Lamar Kinds, Sr., 41, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2018 in South Bend, IN. Ricky was born on December 6, 1976 to Ruby Jean Kinds and Willie James Crawford in Greenwood, MS. Ricky moved to South Bend at an early age and remained a life-long resident.

Ricky is survived by two brothers: Harry Kinds and Christopher (Latorya) Kinds; his three children: Ranijae Kinds (mother Tonja Sanders), Ricky Kinds, Jr and Rickel Kinds (mother Antoinette Carter); stepson Dante Kelly of South Bend. He also leaves to cherish his memory a special friend, Jamesha Brantley; his aunts: Lula Hudson and Mary Kinds of South Bend and Martha Kinds of Greenwood, MS; His uncles Linnell Crawford of Greenwood, MS, Charlie Kinds of Cleveland, OH and Emanuel Kinds of South Bend; his special cousins Markey Kinds, Bryant Kinds, Donald Hudson of South Bend, Yuvette Hudson of Atlanta, GA and Gloria (Eddie) Wells of Indianapolis, IN as well as a host of cousins, nephews and nieces. Ricky is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marie and C.H. Kinds, aunts Ruthie Kinds and Bobbi Austin, uncles Willie James Kinds and Billy Kinds and his beloved cousins, Mario Kinds and Livvell Crawford.

Funeral services for Ricky Kinds, Sr. will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
