Robert Adolph Achatz January 19, 1941 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Robert Adolph Achatz, age 78, of Silverwood, MI went Home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette, MI. He was born January 19, 1941 in Fair Haven, MI to Aloysius and Marie (Werner) Achatz. Robert graduated from Marine City High School with the Class of 1959.

He worked with his father on the family farm in Marine City and also worked for Square Tube as a welder in Marlette. Robert enjoyed spending time with family, his dog, Scruffy and cat, Callie, cooking and desserts. Robert is survived by his sister, Geraldine (Neil) Schaudt; five nieces, Shallen (Tom) Campbell, Kathy (Joe) Tallieu, Kim (Harold) Martin, Karen (Tim) Forys and Konnie (Jim) Hartwell; three nephews, Roland (Kathy), Bob (Diane) Schaudt and Tom Schank; two aunts, Marie Babel and Ester Werner; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius and Marie Achatz; one sister, Barbara Westfall; and two nieces, Kristy Schank and Karolee Schaudt. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marlette, MI with Pastor David J. Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of the service.

Burial will follow in West Burlington Cemetery, Silverwood, MI. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. You may share an online condolence with the family at www.
