OBITUARY Robert L. Downey August 25, 1931 – December 31, 2018 Robert L. Downey, 87, of Evansville, IN passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. Bob was born in Evansville on August 25, 1931 to the late Timothy and Hazel (Kornell) Downey. He started working at age 18 and worked for 40 years at Servel and Arkla.

Late in his career, Bob operated Limousines by David. He enjoyed yard work and loved working on his cars. Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Downey; sons, Jeff Downey (Kris Head), Mark Downey (Peggy); brother, Sheldon Downey (Linda); nieces Anita Happel, Dawn Lee (Jon); nephew, Darin Downey; grandson, Aaron Baker (Amy); great-grandsons, Deacon, Travis, Caelan, and Tyler.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A special thanks to Mike his caregiver for the excellent care he gave to Robert. Memorial contributions may be made to Linda E. White Hospice House or Howell General Baptist Church.
