Robert Merrell Graham of Brooklyn MS, surrounded by family and close friends, went to live with his Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday March 12th shortly after arriving at Ashbury Hospice House of Forrest General Hospital. Mr. Graham had been hospitalized with a bout of pneumonia and succumbed to his illness with respiratory distress syndrome. Merrell was born to Robert and Gleta Graham of Shabuta MS May 28, 1937.

Merrell graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in forestry. After serving 20 years with the US Forrest Service he then owned and operated South Forrest Rose Nursery and Florist with his wife Frances Essary Graham who preceded him in death. Mr. Graham was survived in death by his three children, Sonja Sharp, Kent Graham, and Holly Florimonte, all living in the Brooklyn community.

He was also survived in death by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Graham will be held at Pineview Baptist Church 19 Tower Road, Hattiesburg MS 39401. This is behind Paul B. Johnson state park.

Visitation will be Friday March 15 from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M., Funeral and graveside services will be Saturday March 16th at 10:00 A.M To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Robert Merrell Graham please visit our Sympathy Store.
