Obituary for Mr. Robert Norman “Pete” Bond Mr. Robert Norman “Pete” Bond, 84, of Elberton, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Bond was a native of Elberton, the son of the late Holcomb and Julia McMullam Bond. His wife of 63 years, Georgia Willie Page Bond also preceded him in death.

He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired stone cutter in the granite business. He was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Bond Mooney and her husband Ronnie of Elberton; two grandsons, Chris Johnson of Elberton and Robbie Johnson of Belton, SC; great-grandchildren ShyAnne Johnson, Olivia Johnson, and Xavier Johnson; and a brother and sister in law, Clyde and Susie Bond, of Elberton.

The family received friends Saturday, October 14th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the funeral home. Graveside services were held Sunday, October 15th at 3:00pm in the Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating.
