Robert T. “Tug” Wiedemer, 95, Duncansville, died Monday, July 2, 2018, at his residence. He was born April 12, 1923, in Altoona, son of the late Martin and Regina (Costlow) Wiedemer. He married Gladys Martz in 1949, and she preceded him in death in 1998.

Surviving are two daughters: Nancy Garlena (Edward) of Altoona and Kathleen Casher (Norm-Tim) of Duncansville; two sons: Robert Jr. (Susan) of State College and William (Susan) of Duncansville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sister Ann of the Carmelite Monastery. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret; four sisters; two brothers; and one grandson. Tug retired from Crane Co. in Duncansville after 23 years service.

He then retired from Canole’s Trailer sales after 20 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-46 during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 442, Renovo, and of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville.

Tug enjoyed hunting, gardening, fixing things in his garage and spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville.

Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
