Robert William Agnew, 89, of Linesville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his residence. Born September 13, 1928, in Harmonsburg, he was the son of the late William B. and Annie McKay Agnew. He married Genevieve (Jennie) Piatek on June 5, 1950.

He was a graduate of Conneautville High School in 1946. Bob was on the very first football team for the school and on the basketball team that made the state playoffs. He owned and operated Quaker State Gas Station in Harmonsburg.

Since 1952, he has operated the family farm Rojen Acres. Bob was a member of the Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and trustee. He served on Crawford County and Summit Township planning committees.

Also, Bob served on the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee. For many years, he was director of Evergreen Cemetery Board. Bob was a life member of the Summit Township Volunteer Fire Department and was 50 year member of the Dicksonburg Grange.

He was proud of his 62 straight years of voting. He was a Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penn State and Pittsburgh University fan and enjoyed watching high school sports. Bob loved being outdoors on a tractor and cherished the family farm.

He was loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Genevieve (Jennie) Agnew; three children, William B. Agnew and his wife, Martha, of Linesville, Paul R. Agnew and his wife, Diane, of Linesville and Mary Ellen Duderstadt and her husband, David, of West Chester, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Agnew of Conneautville; 13 grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Ayers, Anne Agnew, Becky (Jason) Nottingham, Grace Agnew, Ruth (Matt) Caldwell, Amanda Agnew, Andrew (Erika) Agnew, Alissa Agnew and fiancé, Alex Welch, Kelsey Agnew (John Petroff), Shea Agnew, Davis Agnew, Lucas Duderstadt and Logan Duderstadt ; 9 great-grandchildren; Zachary, Nolan, Jacob, Avery, Tessa, Reese, Landon, Alexis and Ariana. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis K. Agnew; four brothers, Albert, John, Harold and Thomas Agnew; and a sister, Olive May Basehore.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at ROYAL-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME 6028 U.S. HIGHWAY 6, Linesville. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church, 14282 Cemetery Road, Harmonsburg with Rev. Hydie Houston of the church officiating.

Additional calling at the church will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church, P.O.
