Rodney’s Obituary Rodney Nelson Sandridge, 76, of Mt. Crawford, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Curis Nursing Home in Harrisonburg. Mr. Sandridge was born April 27, 1943 in Harrisonburg, VA and was the son of the late, Charles L. and Mary Frances Shifflett Sandridge.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lesley Sandridge and a sister, Jean Audrey Sandridge. Rodney was a member of Mt. Olive Brethren Church in Pineville and was retired from Walker Manufacturing in Harrisonburg where he worked as a line worker for many years.

After retirement he worked part-time at Aramark Food Service at JMU, he enjoyed and was an avid woodworker, hunting and making powder horns. He is survived by his wife, Nyoka Bergdoll Sandridge; son, Rodney “Lee” Sandridge and wife, Cindi; granddaughter, Desirae Sandridge; numerous nieces and nephews and his loving neighbors, Tina and Chris. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Mt.

Olive Brethren Church in Pineville with Pastor Fred Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
