He was born on April 22, 1962 in Raymondville, TX, son of Roberto and Santos (Rodriguez) Chavez. He is preceded in death by his mother and brother, Johnny Chavez.

Rodolfo is survived by his sons, Christopher Daniel Gonzalez, Rudy Lee Gonzalez, John Ray Chavez, Rudy Chavez, Jr., Christian Chavez, Diego Chavez, Emilio Chavez; daughters, Shelly Marie Gonzalez and Priscilla Chavez; sisters, Pat Alejos and Rosa Flores. Visitation will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Thursday, March 15, 2018 until time of prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave.
